Changing a Recirculation Fan to an External Fan for Range Hood

RenoPro Moe, we would like to change our range hood from a recirculating fan to an external fan. We know this means drilling through our outside wall. What are some of the issues that we could possibly have to deal with?

Be careful of electrical wires and water or gas pipes that may be lurking where you need to cut. Use a drywall handsaw to make a hole a few inches wide in order to see what is there. Also, be aware of exterior structure like brick, which may have to be repaired.
