Should you use cement board while installing tile in the bathroom?

Is it necessary to put cement board behind tile when you are tiling a shower?

Answered by Tracy, administrative
Not necessary but highly reccommended...one of the best types is the cement board products readily available at most building centers, a little extra attention and expense now will ensure a trouble free shower in the future.
