Central Vacuum Systems
In Appliances - more than a month ago

Vacuum cleaners are a hassle by nature. They are dragged, pushed and create invisible dust clouds that irritate respiratory problems. Not to mention long cords that have to be navigated. The central vacuum system provides a motorized suction unit which provides many times the power and results without raising the dust.

The main unit is mounted in the basement and provides quiet operation. The main hose connectcs to a number of recepticles placed in the walls on each floor. All one needs is a few feet of plastic, flexible hose with a head attachment. Because of the power of a central vac motor, there is more suction than a conventional vacuum cleaner which eleminates the rotating beater bar. The result removes more of the dirt and dust that a regular vacuum misses and stirs up.

There are some system requirements to be considered before installation. Like the size of the home, number of storys and total length of the hoses in the walls. I think that the health benefits alone make this a worthy endeavor.
