Gazebo
In Construction, Repair, & Improvement - more than a month ago

There is a large variety of Gazebo designs, kits and manufacturers. Some are built as an enclosure and others built opened to the weather.

In March a friend of mine purchased a 9ft. octagon, aluminum gazebo kit he purchased from Sam's Club for about a grand. I assembled it in a couple of days and bolted the eight posts to pre-leveled mortar pilons - 12" wide, 24" deep, poured into cardboard forms.

After assembly, I added a 2"x4" deck floor spaced at 1/16th inch. He also had me add a small side deck for the BBQ'er. This is one of the best I have ever seen. Instructions are user friendly. The open design allows for air flow and good visibility as well as traffic. It's very sturdy and attractive. A Cedar or Redwood gazebo kit of this size and design would cost at least $3,000.00 (dollars) delivered.
